Dazzle support has been horrible ten years ago, and likely will not be any better with a product that's aged 10 years since, and due to the fact that they've been bought out and goodness-knows-what since. I personally won't even bother to help you with the Dazzle. Capture devices are usually found under 'Sound Video and Game Controllers'.

Once the install completes reboot your PC and verify that the Dazzle installed correctly by looking for the device in Device Manager with the Dazzle plugged in.

When I try to capture ( In Sony Vegas 11.0 Movie Studio) a VHS video from a video recorder using the Dazzle DVC11 video capture software I get the message that Dazzle DVC 100 could not be opened The Pinnacle program was not in use at the time and no other program was open that could be using the capture software. Beside the driver, a compatible version of Studio is required.

If Windows 8.1 doesn't install any drivers when you plug in the Dazzle capture device, you will have to install them manually. If you can't get compatible drivers installed, you might as well toss the Dazzle and buy something else. No one else seems to be having the same problems that I am with the Mac being able to detect the USB device. You need to install drivers that work for Windows 8.1 before moving on to finding software. Plus, if I go the VideoGlide route I would be missing out on being able to use the software that came with it which seems nice in my opinion.Īnyone have any thoughts on this? From what I've read online, a lot of people have suggested using VMWare Fusion and no one seems to have any problems with it because no one replies back that it doesn't work. I know one of my options would be to download and buy VideoGlide, I have already tested it on my computer and it works fine, but I don't really want to pay the $30 to make it work if there is some way to make it work in VMWare Fusion.

If anyone knows how to solve this problem then that would be wonderful, and you would be saving me $30 or more trying to fix it other ways. After the message pops up I am not able to see any USB device plugged into the Mac or Windows, no matter which option I click on for it to go. Whenever I plug it in a message pops up asking whether I want the Dazzle DVC 100 to connect to Mac or Windows, and then I can't find it on either. The software works just fine on my machine and now the problem is my computer isn't detecting the capture card. After that didn't work I succeeded in installing it using VMWare Fusion. I first tried to install the software that came with it using Wine. I would be happy with it if I could just get it to work on my machine. I know the device works great on my friends computer, the quality is pretty low but I didn't expect much. So yeah, I decided to go with the pc version. Best buy, TigerDirect, NewEgg, Amazon, even Pinnacle's web site didn't have any in stock. The third and final reason is that I couldn't find the Mac version available anywhere. The second reason I bought the PC version over the Mac version is the mac version was about double the price. I assumed I would be able to run the software using Wine or VMWare Fusion, or even BootCamp if I had to. I wasn't going to be the only person using it and they all had PCs. Why did I buy the PC version you may ask? One reason is I bought it for me AND my friends to all use to make videos. The problem is, I have a mac and it won't work on my computer. So I bought this fancy new capture card to record console gameplay and it works great! On my friend's PC, that is. Hooray guys I have a problem! Wooooo! /sarcasm
